And the Grammy goes to....

The other night we were watching American Idol and they were about to introduce Jamie Foxx. In his introduction Ryan Seacrest stated that he has five grammy's, at which Hayden shouted out...

"HE HAS FIVE GRAMMY'S?????????!!!!!!"

Her face was in such confusion and her mouth wide open in exasperation. And BJ and I, as usual were in tears laughing. That was a great way to end a hard week of work, one another for the book 'o Hayden ;) Love that girl!

Healings

The other day Hayden came up to me with her juice box and wanted me to try it. It was a new kind that we had just gotten as a sample and she really liked it. So, I take a sip out of the straw and she gasps...

Hayden: "Oh no Mom, we've been sick, now we are going to get sick again."

Me: "No, Hayden we aren't sick anymore. We've been healed."

Long pause........................................

Hayden: "By Santa Clause."

(oh my)

New Videos

Ok, I know its kind of long, but I'm hoping it will give some of you that don't get to see us very often a feel for the things that the girls are doing these days. Sorry for my mommy talk. It even annoys me to listen to.

M-I-C-K-E-Y- M-O-U-S-E=H-E-A-V-E-N

Hayden: Mommy, one day we are going to go to Heaven AND Disney World.

How hilarious that those two things are equal in her mind. I'm sure we probably won't be going in that order, but maybe to her it will be just like Disney world to go to heaven!

She recently told her Grammy that when she gets to heaven, Jesus is going to have a BIG lollipop for her AND mommy. Then asked if Grammy wanted one too...

Oh Boy!

The other night we had some friends over and one of them was changing her son's diaper. Hayden was close by and so my friend, knowing that we don't have boys and Hayden probably wasn't too familiar with "boy diaper changes" tried to keep him covered up and divert Hayden.

Well, apparently Hayden was very observant because she commented, "He has a really big belly button!"

To which my friend replied, "Uh huh."

Oh boy

Dinner time antics

The other night while eating some little chicken sticks Hayden says to me:

H:"What are these?"

Me:"Chicken"

H:"No, mom, they're little horndogs...."

BJ and I were laughing so hard! Oh you just never know what is about to come out of her little mind/mouth!

May

Well this month has been off to a big start and won't slow down anytime soon. Seems we have birthdays, showers, weddings, babies and graduations galore!

Last weekend we took the girls all to a little outdoor coffee shop, zoo, playground area here. It was a beautiful day and we were chomping at the bit to get out of the house. So we loaded everyone up and drove over and had a really nice time.

After we got home, Hayden and Ella crashed and I took Preslyn with me to run some errands. She was a doll and so many people stopped us to ooo and ahhhh :) I had forgotten what it was like to go out with a baby. I forgot you have to allot for stop-time! It was so fun to have her with me though. We ran into the newlyweds, Jamie and Billy and they got to meet her for the first time in real life!

Then Sunday we took them all to church! Wow! That was a huge ordeal. We had BJ's brother come help us at the house, get everyone changed, fed, and into the car. Then unloaded and taken to classes, and into church, where Deb was waiting for us with our seats saved and ready to hold a baby or two. Ella was a jewel. She whimpered about 2 times and found her little fingers and sucked them and fell asleep almost instantly. Preslyn on the other hand, wanted to add to the sermon. She was very good, just loud! So we ended up having to stand out in the hall with her. So next week I think I am going to give the nursery a shot for her...but still not ready for Ella to go yet. She is really quiet anyway, so she shouldn't be a problem. We loved to get to go all together to church again. It was SO REFRESHING!

Let's see what else...oh yes. Yesterday the girls turned 6 MONTHS OLD! Can you believe it??? They are getting so big and more and more active. Preslyn surprised us with her first TOOTH yesterday!! You can't see it yet, but you can feel it and she has been working her tongue on it so much. That explains the last week of her restlessness and crying spells. Poor baby. She is cutting the bottom left front one. Still no sign of any for Ella. Pres is also really trying to crawl, but still not doing it yet. Ella started rolling over again. She hadn't done it since her surgery, but started yesterday.

I can't believe how these last six months have flown by. It doesn't seem like it has been that long, but maybe that is because we haven't had them in our home for that long. They have added so much to our family and we love them both so much. I remember when we first found out we were expecting twins I was so worried that I wouldn't know how to love them like I love Hayden. But just like everyone always says, God gave me a supernatural double load of extra love for them. I couldn't imagine my life without one or both of them. They are so special to me, each in there own way. Ella is my snuggle baby...I prayed for that specifically. And Preslyn is such a joy. She is the biggest smiler ever! She is so much like Hayden and I'm sure will keep our guts sore from laughter. Those two are just peas in a pod.

Hayden has been a hoot lately as usual. Today we were standing in line at the post office and there were about 5 other people there, and all of them were looking at Hayden as she put on a show. Well, all of the sudden she says to me, " Mommy...did you hear my toot??" I kind of looked around quickly and smiled and told her in a hushed voice, "No, Hayden. Don't do that." So she still stares at me and forces out another one and yes, that time I heard it. I was so embarrassed and all of the other people snickered.

Then the other day she had been mean at school and so I told her ahead of time, that she knew better and when we got home she was going to get a spanking.
So she asks me, " With the spankin spoon?"
Me:"Yes, Hayden, with the spanking spoon."
H:"On this leg (pointing to her right leg) or this leg (pointing to the other)??
Me:"(Trying to stifle a laugh and be stern) I don't know yet"

And lastly but not least, Today is BJ's 26th Birthday!!! Happy Birthday to my love :) I hope your day is amazing and fun and I hope this year is everything you ever wanted. We all love you so much and are so proud of you for what a hard working husband and daddy you are.
Love you daddy!!! Boo-boo, Ella Marie and P-diddy AKA Rocky Palpoa
And I love you more than ever!!~Lindsay

Funnies a la Hay Hay

We took Hayden out to lunch the other day and were greeted by a male hostess who was very tall and eccentric. He had his hair done in dreads and then pulled up in a ponytail on top of his head, therefore making the dread tips stick pretty much straight up in the air. It was a little out of the ordinary but nothing to be like, "Oh wow, did you see that dude's hair!?!" Well, apparently for a two year old, that was some CRAZY hair! Hayden immediately locked her eyes on the hair and would not stop. BJ and I are trying to act like we are laughing at each other but it is so funny to see her just staring like crazy. We try so hard to distract her but nothing works. So finally we get seated and think that our near embarrassment is over. Just then Hayden says to us, in a not so quiet voice..."Where's the big hair?? Where did the hair go?" Oh I just about lost it. Then she spotted him across the room and says "oh, there he is." oh wow...i feel like many embarrassments are in store for us with that kid.

The second one was today, Hayden and I are talking back and forth and I ask her a question to which she answers, " I don't know Big Mama." Again, nearly choked myself from the surprise and the laughter.

No more monsters

Today I took Hayden with me to get my ears pierced for the third time. No I don't have three holes, I have had to get the same single hole re pierced three times. Ridiculous. You would think I would learn my lesson and leave my earrings in, but I am really bad about keeping them in.

Anyway, so we are on the way and I am telling Hayden that she will have to hold my hand so I won't be scared and she says to me in the sweetest voice ever, "Its OK mommy, there are no monsters in the car." I was so relieved, of course.

Potty Talk

Today during one of our many drawn out potty episodes, Hayden is sitting there NOT going to the restroom and finally I decide we have "tried" long enough and will try again later. So I tell Hayden I'm going to count to ten and then she has to get down. So I start...1....2...3....SHRIEKS AND WAILS from Hayden "NOOOOO MOMMYYYY, don't say four and five...don't say FOUR AND FIVE" !!!!!!!!!!"

Some funnies

BJ was getting ready to change Hayden's poopy diaper (which was evident by the strong stench) and Hayden with big eyes said "It's going to scare you!!"

The other day she was dressing up with some belts and she had them criss-crossed across her chest. She walked in the room and said, "Look mom, I look like Jesus."

Today she was telling me that she loved me so I asked her who else she loved and she said "Daddy aaaannndd Pweswyn aaannndd Ella annnnnddd Granna annndd Grandad annndd Sean aaannnn Lexi annnnd my presents. " (Don't forget the presents :)

Still no Ella yet, hopefully this weekend, but we'll see.

Quick story

Last night BJ, Hayden and I went out to eat with our friends Tara, Craig, Tiffany, Deborah and Colton. We had such a great time. Hayden was being a ham as usual and Colton was being adorable. He was saying the funniest things and making "cheese sandwhiches" out of the dough they make tortillas with :) So we are sitting there and all of the sudden Colton says in reference to Hayden..."She is smart and strong and brave". It was HILARIOUS. It was so heartfelt and we were all just sitting there waiting for him to profess his love to her. It was the most precious thing ever. We were all cracking up so hard. Sweet Colton!

Another funny story is on the way to the restaurant, Hayden said, "Two babies...mommy, two babies. Too much" Lol.... So funny as well.
