Checking in

Well it has been a whirlwind around here, but we are starting to get into a rhythm which is nice. Hayden is doing great being a big sister and constantly wants to hold Preslyn and loves looking at her and rubbing her head. She brings Preslyn her prized possessions to show her and it is so cute. When we rode to the dr. yesterday Hayden stared at her the whole time. Anytime Preslyn makes a peep Hayden lights up and says "what's that sound? Why she make that sound?"

Preslyn is an angel. She is such a great baby and since she is still technically supposed to be inside me she has been still in a very sleepy state. So basically she is never awake except for about 10 minutes of her feedings and then she is out again. I'm sure that won't last much longer, but its nice for getting used to another baby in the house. We took her for her follow up checkup/2 month appt. and she checked out great. She is now 5lbs. 12oz. and 18" long. She had to get four shots and that was so sad. She was sleeping so peacefully and then the nurse came in and kept saying "oh I don't want to do this..." then she looked at Preslyn's legs and said she needed to go get smaller needles. How sad. Poor baby cried so hard but was quickly back to sleep once it was all over. She is eating great and even given us a5 hour span last night! whoohoo!!

BJ and I are doing well. It is a circus trying to juggle a two year old and feedings, and pumping and sleeping, paying bills and trying to get a load of laundry and the dishes done here and there, and still trying to get up to the hospital whenever we can, but it is so worth all of the disarray to have our one little precious daughters here in our lives. We can't wait until Ella can come join in on the chaos :) I can't believe they are already 6 weeks old! How the time has flown when it is so crazy every day.

Ella is stable at the moment. Just waiting on her surgery. She received another picc line after having 3 iv's in her head and several in her hands and feet. Hopefully this one will remain infection free so her surgery is not bumped back again. Her little head is nearly bald but only in patches from all the iv's, but we know it will grow back in no time. She is still cruising to be the big baby weighing in at 6lbs. 10z. and 19 1/4". Her surgery is scheduled for the 27th, so please be in prayer with us that day for a smooth outcome and recovery. We want our girl home and healthy.

So those are our updates. Keep me in prayer as well, as I am battling a breast infection right now. It hit me really hard on Tuesday and I had a raging fever and then just severe pain. As Deborah said...I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. It is awful!

I want to wish my parents a Happy Belated anniversary! 27 years!! Way to go guys!! As well Happy belated Birthday to Philip and Angelyn!
